If you are looking for an affordable place to stay near Disney and the other Orlando theme parks you could do no better than the EconoLodge Inn and Suites in Kissimmee, Florida. Priced at $29.99 for most rooms, EconoLodge offers a lot of bang for your buck.
Whether you choose a room with a king or queen-sized bed, each room also comes standard with a sleeper couch that also folds out into a bed. You also get a coffee table and dresser with mirror in all rooms as well as a computer desk. The rooms come with a flat-screen TV and a PC. Unfortunately the PC takes up most of the space on the computer desk so if you bring your own laptop you will find little spare space for it. The hotel offers complimentary Wi-Fi.
The rooms also come equipped with a mini-fridge and microwave. This is great for keeping and reheating leftovers from all the eating out you are likely to be doing while in Orlando.
Some rooms come with coffee makers on the bathroom sink though all guests may request one for their room. All rooms also come with a digital safe in the bathroom area.
Bathrooms come in two varieties. One type includes the sink, toilet and shower all in one room with lockable door. Another type is the typical hotel version with the sink and counter space outside of the lockable bathroom with toilet and shower.
The hotel also features a pool and complimentary continental breakfast. Breakfast includes a waffle station where you can make your own waffles. There is also cereal and milk available as well as toast, donuts, coffee and juice.
Beware that the hotel does charge an $8.99 “hotel fee” that is not included in the $29.99 price quoted in all the online reservation systems. A sign in the lobby notes this is for the theme park shuttle, Wi-Fi, coffeemaker in room, and continental breakfast whether you use any of these services or not. Once you add this fee the total for the room increases to about $39.00.
EconoLodge also offers a rewards program where the more nights you stay, the more points you earn towards free nights in the future. Overall EconoLodge offers a great value for those who would rather not break the bank on a place to sleep in Orlando.
